True New York

But above all, in order to be, never try to seem.

— ALBERT CAMUS

Tucked along the western edges of Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood—the center of the art world and home to hundreds of galleries—Hôtel Americano’s 56 rooms inhabit one of the city’s last slices of cool authenticity, a few city blocks where creativity still thrives above all.

A modern approach to the boutique hôtel, travelers will find the Americano’s close proximity to the High Line, Hudson River and newly constructed Hudson Yards—with its architectural and cultural attractions such as The Vessel and The Shed—the perfect launch pad for exploring New York City’s most talked-about sights.

We welcome you to experience our accommodations as a home away from home—whether you’re here for routine business or your very first visit—we’ve created a space where you can be true to yourself (with a New York twist).

The Hôtel

Designed by New York-based, Mexican-born architect, Enrique Norten, our ten-story boutique hôtel is veiled in stainless steel mesh that dissolves at night into a diaphanous, glowing curtain. Inside the accommodations, you’ll find a mix of our favorite influences—Latin, Japanese, and mid-century American—represented in timeless materials and warm minimalism, including hardwood, black glass, concrete, and marble.

You Belong Here

One belongs to New York instantly, one belongs to it as much in five minutes as in five years.

— TOM WOLFE

Withing walking distance to the city’s two most-talked-about and recent additions—the High Line and Hudson Yards—we strive to make your stay here both a calm and connected one. You might notice we have no art on the walls despite being in the center of the art world. That’s because we believe New York City provides enough stimulation for our guests; we prefer to be your blank canvas. Whether you’re working from one of our ryokan-inspired rooms or soaking in the energy in our communal spaces, we hope your stay is filled with warmth and inspiration.

As a guest of the Hôtel Americano, you will find:

  • 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets
  • Luxurious bathrobes
  • Slippers
  • Oversized Egyptian cotton bath towels
  • Le Labo bathroom products
  • Samsung LED HD TV with HBO and Showtime
  • Tablet that allows guests the opportunity to stream their favorite music, as well as other great features
  • Room service 7AM until 11PM
  • In-room minibar with custom and hand-selected snacks
  • In-room strongbox

Eat, Drink and Be in the Mix

One cannot think well, love well or sleep well, if one has not dined well.

— VIRGINIA WOOLF
